What is Parent Plus all about?

Parent Plus offers support, training and education to parents, and have recently developed a number of fantastic modules, as an opportunity for parents to access confidential and professional help and support, with all things parenting!

Why?

We don’t know about you, but as professionals, we often wonder why emotional support for children when growing up is not ‘just’ as important as education? We are aware there are some fantastic schools and support services out there, but we are also aware that they are often pushed to their limits and achieving results, that there is not always as much focus on emotional well being as we would like.

Parent Plus Club fills a gap that we believe is very much needed to support those that are not necessarily at crisis point with their children, but would like to know more about how they can support their child’s emotional needs at home. This is a much more affordable and accessible way of getting this ongoing therapeutic support.

This is not just a principle that impacts on our children but it is very much for YOU too and you will most definitely learn lots about yourself in the process, as we believe it is this that your children will benefit from the most.

Important: the support given in our modules and in the private group is not ‘therapy’, however, it is support based on therapeutic principles. If you have any questions about this please ask. You may find that some of the material can make you think and evoke feelings, in which case you may need to access further, more specific one to one help.

So What Do You Get When You Purchase a Module?

• Access to a private Facebook/Google+ support group where you can ask questions and share ideas privately!
• ‘Just a Quickie’ – access to our ‘quickie’ videos – these are just short videos that will be added ad hoc when any of our professionals feel they have something you would benefit from hearing.
• A full module each month covering an important topic such as anxiety, bullying or managing behaviour that you can learn from and ideas and exercises you can complete with your children or by yourself, developing your own awareness of you and your children.
• Access to professional and supportive individuals as well as being part of a community of like minded parents.
